WABO’s project, A Next-Generation Brain–Computer Interface Terminal Powered by Ascend Computing + Brain Control for Everything, was named Angel Division Champion at the neurotechnology special event of the 2026 Yangtze River Delta Innovation Competition and advanced to the annual grand final.
The recognition was presented in Shanghai during activities connected with the city’s brain–computer interface future-industry cluster.
A system-level entry
The project brings non-invasive neural-signal acquisition, task data, model inference, and endpoint interaction into one technical path. Rather than treating EEG as a standalone visualization, it explores how signal features can become controlled input for software and physical devices within explicit tasks.
The neurotechnology special event brought together early-stage and growth-stage teams working across brain–computer interfaces, neural modulation, rehabilitation, data infrastructure, and intelligent hardware. Its program combined project presentations with technical, clinical, industrial, and investment review.
For WABO, the Angel Division championship and advancement to the grand final create another opportunity to present the system to a broader review panel and clarify the evidence required to move neural interaction from a demonstration toward reliable use.
The competition is led by the Fudan University School of Management, with the neurotechnology event jointly organized with Shanghai-based neural-technology institutions. The public competition notice describes the 2026 program.
