The 2026 DEMO CHINA and digital trade investment event took place in Hangzhou from September 22 to 24. WABO was named a 2026 DEMO CHINA Innovation Star and selected for Cyzone’s 2026 Top 20 Innovation Watchlist (“创业邦2026年度值得关注的创新力量20强”). The company also presented its approach to neural intent interaction at the event.

From research to reality

Jointly organized by Cyzone and the organizing committee office of the Global Digital Trade Expo, the event marked DEMO CHINA’s twentieth edition. Its theme was “From Research to Reality.”

According to Cyzone’s selection report, 706 companies applied and 88 passed the initial review to join the annual innovation watchlist. During the innovation showcase, 79 investors held one-to-one discussions with founders, reviewing core technology progress, product development and customer validation. Twenty companies were named Innovation Stars and advanced to the Final Pitch on September 23, including WABO.

WABO also appeared on the 2026 medical and biotechnology innovation watchlist. The category watchlist and the Top 20 Innovation Stars record distinct outcomes of the selection process.

An intent layer between people and machines

WABO’s presentation explored an intent layer for human–machine collaboration: connecting human goals, action confirmation, correction and takeover with environmental information, task state and device actions.

The WABO Neural Intent Model, currently in development, combines neural signals and multimodal information to model intent under specific task conditions. People retain goals and judgment, while machines handle perception, planning and execution. When to respond, when to wait for confirmation and when to return control remain questions for continued validation of this interaction design.
