Develop signal-processing and intent-decoding methods that can be evaluated responsibly in task-conditioned research settings.
What you will own
- Develop methods for EEG, EMG, and adjacent neural or physiological signals.
- Improve robustness across users, sessions, and task conditions.
- Build safeguards for uncertainty, false triggers, confirmation, and correction.
- Establish disciplined data-quality and task-relevance review.
- Contribute to research design, evaluation, and reusable processing foundations.
- Work with hardware, systems, and model teams on consistent research workflows.
What we value
- A master’s degree or above in biomedical engineering, neural engineering, signal processing, electronic information, automation, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of EEG or EMG generation, acquisition, common artifacts, and data-quality risks.
- Practical experience with scientific computing and neural-signal analysis tools.
- Sound judgment in statistical validation and modern machine-learning methods.
- Careful validation across participants and sessions, with attention to statistics and time-series leakage.
- The willingness to work in live experiments and diagnose weak signals, individual differences, and device anomalies.
Additional strengths
- Experience with real task-based research rather than offline benchmarks alone.
- Experience with uncertainty-aware interaction or data-quality control.
- Experience with human studies, real-time experimentation, or human–computer interaction.
